Now in its fifth edition, the Samsung Young Design Award 2011, a competition sponsored by ADI (Associazione Design Industriale), challenged the creativity and talent of young Italian designers to invent cutting edge solutions in response to the theme “New Electronics for New Families”. The final projects were selected by a jury of experts: Luisa Bocchietto, President of ADI, Marva Griffin, curator of the SaloneSatellite, Stefano Casciani, journalist and design critic, Marco Colasanti, National Representative of ADI designers, Stefano Giovannoni, architect and designer, Ezio Manzini, professor of Industrial Design, Dario Moretti, ADI consultant, James Irvine, Designer, and Kyung Hoon Lee, Director of Samsung Design Milan.
