In the elegant setting of the Triennale at the Milan Furniture Fair, Mondo presents Decolorful, a 200 mq installation which has been designed along with the materials by Aldo Cibic in collaboration with Tommaso Corà and has been entirely created using products from the new “Mondo Idea”collection

Decolorful is a true artistic interpretation by one of the most important designers in Italy who playing with the endless graphical and chromatic variations that “Mondo Idea”, the new Made in Mondo rubber flooring, creates an installation made unique by the different perceptive images it offers to its visitors.

"We wanted to create a landscape with a strong symbolic content based on the contrast between volumes and colour, which are perceived differently at different times of the day as the light changes - commented Aldo Cibic. The installation evokes a metaphysical landscape because the five volumes placed in the area with their different proportions create a suspended effect: the tunnel, the chimney, the tank, the cylinder and the column create a warm sensorial experience. We wanted to work on a real De Chirico landscape on a near true-to-life scale and see how the application of motifs could change our perception of the whole scene.”

“Mondo Idea” is an innovative rubber flooring system created by the company from Piedmont in Northern Italy in collaboration with B&B Colordesign set up by Giulio Bertagna and Aldo Bottoli who teach at the Faculty of Design at Milan Polytechnic and with CibicWorkshop founded by the designer Aldo Cibic.

With the variety of colours offered by the HML system created by B&B Color Design, the decorative creativity of Aldo Cibic and the cutting-edge technology of Mondo, a company which has always focused on offering innovative products, “Mondo Idea” is as a flooring system that gives rubber a new identity; through a selection of coordinated and complementary colours, based on a perceptive system that can provide solutions for the various uses, “Mondo Idea” offers designers and design studios a wealth of decorative possibilities which can be used and developed according to their creative needs and ideas.
